'live' CE Webinar: "Technology to Detect Mobility and Defects in Teeth and Implants"

6pm-7pm PST 1 CEU core CE speaker: Dr. Jean Wu, DDS

Dentistry has never had a reliable instrument to detect mobility of implants or teeth. All our current clinical methodology is subjective, not consistent, or measurable. Quantitative Percussion Diagnostic (QPD) technology allows the technician to detect and measure defects in teeth and implants without having to disassemble the whole structure. This instrument provides the clinician with revolutionary diagnostic capabilities, which our current radiographic or cone beam computerized tomography (CBCT) tests are unable to show until there is a more severe separation of the crack, bone loss, or infected periodontal ligament.

The 'live' CE Webinar will demonstrate how to use QPD technology prior to treatment and follow-up of teeth and implants after restoration.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understanding QPD technology and its utilization.

  1. Interpreting the QPD data.

  1. How to use QPD for patient monitoring.

7pm-8pm PST (no CEU) Speakers:  Art Wiederman, CPA/Moderator with Don Watkins, CPA & Partner, Dental Practices Division Eide Bailly, LLP

This 'live' webinar will discuss year-end income tax planning strategies for Dentists.  The presenters will incorporate the changes to the Federal tax law included in The Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) signed by President Trump on July 4, 2025.  There will be a discussion of where income tax rates are for 2025, how Dentists can take advantage of the 20% Section 199A deduction, how the new Bonus Depreciation rules will allow for significant tax write-offs for equipment purchases and office buildouts, how the tax credit rules for hybrid and electric vehicles, solar energy and energy efficient home improvements have been changed, and how Dentists should consider the use of retirement plans, equipment and auto purchases and employment of family members in their Dental practices.  This course will give tips to Dentists on how to reduce their Federal income tax liabilities for 2025 and beyond.
